Australian oil, gas firm Triangle Energy Limited (formerly Maverick Energy Limited) is seeking to expand contract extension of its Pase PSC onshore Aceh, which contract will expire in February 2011.
The Company said in a presentation released last week that it was seeking 20-year extension on the block, which contract was awarded 1981.
The block was operated by US super major Exxon Mobil Corp until 2009 when the Company acquired 100 percent interest in the block in June 2009.
The block, which now covers an area of 922 km2 is now producing gas at 9.8 MMCFD from two wells with two more wells planned to come onstream in the first quarter of this year.
Gas from the field is piped to Arun LNG plant. (alex)
