Trisensa to select new drilling contractor

East Kalimantan coal miner PT Trisensa Mineral Utama (TMU), a coal unit of IDX-listed coal miner group PT Toba Bara Sejahtera, has temporarily stopped its drilling activity since October last year to evaluate recent drilling data, and it is selecting a new drilling contractor to conduct next infill drilling activity.

The company hopes to get a new contractor by the end of this month, a source at the company told Petromindo.Com. ?We are still evaluating the candidates,? the source said.

TMU?s previous drilling contractors were CV Moedjiarto Mandiri Utama and PT Ramudian Jaya Energi. Both companies completed the drilling activities in September 2012.

TMU's concession area covers about 3,414 hectares, located in Loa Janan, Muara Jawa and Sanga-Sanga, Kutai kartanegara regencies.

The mines started commercial production in October 2011 with initial production of 40,000 tons. TMU currently produces a coal product called ?Trisensa-47?, which has a calorific value of 4,700 kcal/kg (GAR) and total sulhpur of 0.4%.
