PT Tropic Energi Pandan (TEP) plans to build a 22-km pipeline for crude transmission in Musi Rawas regency, South Kalimantan, according to a report.

The crude will be transmitted from the Sriwijaya and Ario Damar fields of Pandan Sumsel block in Petunang village, Tuah Negeri district to crude depot in Bangun Rejo village, Sukakarya district, company General Manager Lukis Agung was quoted by Sripoku.com.

The pipeline will be built along the side of the road, he said. The construction is expected to start in 2017 and now the firm is preparing the project, including holding an information campaign to explain the project to the public.

He said the block is expected to start production in March 2016 with a volume of 600 bop. The crude will be processed at the location and will be transmitted to the Plaju refinery owned by state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina through the pipeline being built by PT Medco Energi Internasional.

TEP has thus far drilled seven wells in Sriwijaya and Ario Damar fields. The firm plans to 20 other fields within three or three years.

?At its peak, the production may reach 1700 bopd,? he said.

The block is 100 percent owned by TEP. In February this year, the firm said it was finalizing tender process to select the EPCI contractor for the construction of production facilities at the Ario Damar field. (*)
