Tropik seeks to boost Damar field production rate

PT Tropik Energi Pandan, operator of the Pandan block, onshore South Sumatra, aims to complete drilling of the fifth well (ADM-5) at the Ario Damar field at the end of this month.

General Manager of Tropik Energi, Lukis Agung said on Monday that the drilling program was part of efforts to help meet the field?s higher oil production rate of 1,100 bopd by the end of this year.

The field currently produces oil at a rate of 250 bopd from two wells. Tropic holds 100 percent of the block.

?With the completion of (drilling) of the fifth well at the end of July, we?ll increase production target to 1,100 bopd by the end of this year,? Lukis said.

According to the plan of development, the Ario Damar field is designed to have production rate of 2,000 bopd and 20 mmscfd of gas.
