PT Truba Alam Manunggal Engineering Tbk said it is interested to bid for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of a coal fired power plant (PLTU) project to be developed by a consortium led by PT Adaro Energy Tbk.

The power plant has a capacity of 2000 megawatts (2 x 1,000 MW), located in Central Java.

Corporate Secretary of PT Truba Alam, Gamala V. Katoppo, said the independent power plant will be developed by a consortium, whose members are PT Adaro Energy Tbk, J-Power and Itochu.

In addition, Truba is also interested to construct smelter plants for a number of companies in line with the government?s plan to encourage the development of smelter plants in Indonesia. ?We?re also chasing a number of smelter plants? EPC projects,? Gamala said.

In the first semester, Truba Alam secured four EPC projects worth US$15-16 million and Rp 25 billion from PT International Nickel Indonesia Tbk (Inco), PT Krakatau Daya Listrik, PT Daewo and PT Krakatau Steel Tbk.

For this year, the company aims to secure EPC projects worth US$ 150 million in total, at least to match last year?s EPC project values.

It expects its revenues to reach Rp 2.57 trillion this year, slightly increased from last year?s. About 94% of the revenues are expected to come from EPC projects. (giok)
