Truba Alam wins two large projects

Publicly listed engineering and construction company PT Truba Alam Manunggal Engineering has won two large engineering and construction projects from PT Krakatau Daya Listrik and PT Krakatau Steel Tbk, Kontan business daily reported on Saturday.

Corporate secretary Gamala Katoppo said in Jakarta on Friday that the firm had secured a contract from PT Krakatau Daya to procure turn-key overhaul boiler for a power plant to be built by the company.

?The contract is worth Rp 8.08 billion,? Gamala said, adding that the firm won the contract through its subsidiary PT Truba Jaya Engineering. ?The project will be commenced next month and is scheduled for completion in three months. So in November, the project will be completed? he added.

In addition to the contract awarded by PT Krakatau Daya, the firm also received a contract from PT Krakatau Steel to build its lime calcination plant II.

Gamala said that the contract awarded by PT Krakatau Steel was worth about US$3.28 million and Rp 21.52 billion. The project, which will be started this month, is scheduled for completion in 14 months.

In conducting the construction works, the firm would cooperate with Swiss company Mearz Ofenbau Ag (Marez). (*)
