IDX-listed engineering firm PT Truba Alam Manunggal Engineering Tbk has backed down from a 2x30 MW coal-fired power plant project in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, according to Corporate Secretary Sylvia Situmorang.
The power plant project is part of the government?s first phase 10,000 MW fast-track program. Truba has been appointed as one of the independent power producers (IPPs) developing the power plants since 2007.
But construction of the power plant project has been stalled as Truba has been unable to reach agreement on the electricity selling price with state-owned utility firm PLN, and to find partner for the project, Sylvia told Petromindo.com recently.
?We have decided to back down (from the IPP project), and will concentrate on construction projects only,? she said.
