Indonesian Stock Exchange-listed engineering firm PT Truba Alam Manunggal Engineering Tbk (Truba) is negotiating with state electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) to supply 1 million of coal per year to the latter's power plant.

"At present, we are negotiating with PLN. We hopes the contract will be signed in September this year," Truba's Investor Relation official Gamala V Katopo said as quoted by Detik.com on Friday.

The website did not specify the power plant that will get coal supplies from Truba.

Truba through its 90 percent subsidiary PT Manunggal Multi Energi (MME) will start coal production from its Muara Enim coal mine in South Sumatra in the forth quarter of this year.

Last year, the firm's Head of Investor Relations Agustino Sudjono told Petromindo.Com that the mine will initially start production at 500,000 tons per year.

MME has a concession of 5,574 hectares with mineable reserves of 140.8 juta tons. The coal has calorific value (CV) of 4,005-6,206 kcal/kg. (*)
