IDX-listed Power plant developer PT Truba Alam Manunggal Engineering Tbk is looking for a partner to build a coal fired power plant (PLTU) in Pontianak, West Kalimantan.

?We are looking for an equity partner so that we can start the construction of the plant,? corporate finance official Handi Iswanda told Petromindo.com no Friday.

The 2x30 MW PLTU Pontianak, which is part of the first phase 10,000 MW fast track power plant development program, was initially scheduled to come onstream in 2010. The project along with several other projects, however, was suspended due to ?many obstacles,? he said.

He said the firm has asked state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) to revise upwards its purchasing price for the power to be produced from the power plant. The firm signed power purchasing agreement (PPA) with PLN in March 2007.

?We can?t specify the new price level we have proposed to PLN. PLN has set a limit of 20 percent increase from the original price. We are still negotiating with PLN,? Handi said without specifying the original price set in the PPA.
