Truba sets up subsidiary to handle coal stockpile project

JSX-listed firm PT Truba Alam Manunggal Engineering (Truba) has set up a new subsidiary, PT Truba Segihan Utama, to handle coal stockpile project in Sagihan village, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan.

Truba?s corporate secretary Jenty Tjandradjaja announced the establishment of the subsidiary at the Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) in Jakarta last week.

According to Jenty, Truba through its subsidiary, PT Maxima Infrastruktur engaged in coal mining business, owns 70 percent stake worth Rp 10.5 billion in PT Truba Segihan Utama.

Earlier, Maxima Infrastruktur announced its plan to carry out a mining project in Muara Enim, South Sumatra where the company found six layers of coal in an open mining pit in southern block covering 230 hectares.

The mining area is estimated to have a total mining deposit of 55 million tons with calorie of between 4,753 and 6,212 kcal/kg.

The company is currently also conducting a study on coal deposit in northern block with an estimated deposit of 38 million tons.

Truba is an operator of integrated power plant as well as a power plants building company specializing in engineering procurement and construction (EPC). The company has three subsidiaries: PT Maxima Infrastructure (in coal sector), PT Manunggal Power (power plants) and PT Manunggal Infra Solusi.(*)
