Truba to build US$60 million power plant in Lampung

Publicly listed PT Truba Alam Manunggal Engineering and Shanghai Electric Import & Export Company Ltd have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PT Centralpertiwi Bahari to build a US$60 million power plant in North Lampung, Bisnis Indonesia reported Tuesday.
The power plant has a capacity of 2 x 25 MW.
Truba Alam Manunggal?s corporate secretary Jenty Tjandradjaja said in a statement that the construction of the power plant is expected to start in early 2007 following the completion of the technical and planning aspect scheduled for the end of 2006.
Truba Alam and Shanghai Electric have agreed to handle several aspects of the project, including construction design, technical assistance, goods and services provision related to building construction, infrastructure and a business plan.
The power plant is owned by PT Centralpertiwi Bahari whose line of business is a shrimp breeding. (*)
