Trubaindo, Bharinto set mid-term target of 10-15 mtpa

East Kalimantan coal miners PT Trubaindo Coal Mining and PT Bharinto Ekatama, both are coal units of IDX-listed coal miner group PT Indo Tambangraya Megah (ITM), expect to produce a combined 10-15 million tons per annum in the mid-term, the company?s official told Petromindo.Com.

The company is in the process of preparing a feasibility study by a consultant for Bunyut port expansion to allow both mines to boost their coal output and to lower operating cost.

The expansion project will include expansion of additional coal loader and coal stockpile capacity, which will facilitate increased coal supply from Bharinto mine

Trubaindo is expecting to produce 7.7 million tons of coal this year, same with last year?s total output, while Bharinto targets to produce 1.9 million tons this year, up significantly from last year?s total output of 200,000 tons.

The Trubaindo-Bharinto operation consists of the Bunyut barge port, Trubaindo North Block, Trubaindo South Block and Bharinto.
