TSB bags 250KT per month coal supply contract per month

PT Tapin Suthra Berjaya (TSB), a joint venture between PT Hasnur Jaya Utama (Hasnur Group) and PT Padangbara Sukses Makmur, said that the coal production of its coal unit PT Bhumi Rantau Energi (BRE) will increase to 3 million tons next year from this year?s target of 1.6-1.7 million tons.

TSB?s GM marketing Hartanto Indradi told Petromindo.Com last week that BRE's production reached 1.2 million tons as of October this year.

All the coal the firm plans to produce next year has been sold out. ?We will ship five vessels, each with a capacity of 50,000 tons, each month next year and all the coal has already buyers,? he said.

Of the five vessels, two will head for China, one to India, one to Thailand, and one to Holcim Indonesia.

?If there are new interested buyers next year, we can only offer trial shipment,? he said.

BRE plans to further increase its output to 5 million in 2013.

The company sells its coal with calorific value at 5,100-5,300 kcal/kg (ADB). BRE mine is located in Tapin regency, South Kalimantan with a concession area of 2,000 hectares. (denny)
