The Terang, Sirasun, Batur (TSB) gas field in the Kangean block, offshore East Java, has resumed normal production on Saturday following a two-day shut down.

Deputy for Operation at upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas, Fatar Yani told Petromindo.com on Monday that the TSB field was shut down because of a trouble at the Joko Tole floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) facility, which collects and processes the TSB gas.

He said that there was a trouble with the control system of the boiler at the FPSO. ?As a result, TSB suffered a shut down for two days. But it has resumed normal production since August 19,? he said, adding that production at TSB field currently stands at 180 mmscfd.

Gas from the TSB field, which started production in 2012, is dedicated for industry customers in East Java including state-owned electricity firm PT PLN. The Kangean block is operated by Kangean Energy Indonesia.
