Tuban crude production reaches 40,000 BPD

Crude production from Tuban Block onshore East Java has now reached 40,000 barrel per day, or few months earlier than initially project, upstream oil and gas company BPMIGAS said on Thursday.

The block is jointly operated by state oil and gas company PT Pertamina and Chinese firm PetroChina.

Production from Tuban block comes from Mudi field and Sukowati field.

Crude from the fields is piped through 10-inches 38km pipeline to Central Processing Area in Palang and then flowed through 20-km subsea pipeline to Cinta Natomas FSO in Tuban water.

The partnership said earlier production from Tuban will be increased to 60,000 BPD within the next three years. (bernard)
