Henny Relawati, the regent of Tuban said that the regency only received about Rp 2 billion from oil and gas production in 2002, much lower than Rp 5.2 billion promised by the central government in Jakarta. "We have questioned it to the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources but no formal answers have been made," she said.
The 2002 oil and gas revenue for Tuban regency was disbursed in four stages. In the first quarter, Tuban received Rp 1.3 billion, in second quarter Rp 49 million and in third and fourth quarters respectively Rp 60 million.
The funds received by the agency from oil and gas should reach Rp 5.2 billion in line with the agreement with the central government. "In fact this total fund was still lower than Rp 9 billion as calculated by the Tuban regency,? she said. (*)
