Tunas Inti looks on track to meet coal output target

Coal mining firm PT Tunas Inti Abadi (TIA) seems to be on track to meet output target this year as per early August, production has reached more than 60 percent of the target.

TIA Head of Mining Technique, Hari Sutikno told Petromindo.com on Thursday that production from its mines in Sebamban, Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan, has reached 3.2 million tons as per early August.

The company has set coal production target this year of 5.3 million tons, a slight downward revision from the initial target of 5.5 million tons due to heavy rainfall from April until early August.

Hari is optimistic that the company would be able to meet this year?s coal production target. Last year, realized coal output was about 5.7 million tons.
