Tunu 8: New US$20 Million Contract for Bouygues Offshore in Indonesia

Bouygues Offshore through its wholly-owned subsidiaries Sofresid and Bouygues Offshore Indonesia, has obtained a contract for the supply of equipment and associated services of a platform for the Tunu 8 gas field operated by Total Indonesia.
The US$ 44 million turnkey contract (US$ 20 million for Bouygues Offshore), for the gas compression platform located in the northern area of the Tunu field - East Kalimantan, involves:
(1) Detailed engineering by Bouygues Offshore Indonesia in Jakarta, (2) Supply of the main equipment and associated services, management and supervision of the detailed engineering team by Sofresid in Jakarta, (3) Fabrication, installation and connecting by PT Gunanusa.
The 90 m long and 30 m wide 5.000 t platform will be supported by 18 piles of 48 inches. The platform will compress 24,000,000 CMPD for the Bontang liquid gas plant and will export 30.000 barrels per day of condensates towards the Handil field installations.
Works will last 20 months from coming into force of the contract.
