Turangga plans copper smelter in NTB

Private firm PT Turangga Energy Nusantara (TEN) plans to build a smelter to process copper concentrates in Sumbawa Barat Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province.
Head of the NTB Investment Coordinating Board, Lalu Gita Aryadi was quoted by beritasatu.co as saying Monday that TEN has unveiled its planned smelter project to the NTB provincial administration.
TEN is interested to develop the smelter to process copper concentrates produce by local miners PT Amman Mineral Nusantara and PT Indotan Sumbawa Barat.
He said that the company is currently in the process of acquiring the required permits from the central government and local administrations. No further details about the planned project were provided. (*)
