Speaking to resporters in Jakarta on Thursday, he added that meanwhile three other planned power plants, namely 2x50 gas-fired PLTG Kotabaru in East Kalimantan, 2x7 MW coal-fired PLTU Kotabaru in South Kalimantan, and 2x25 coal-fired PLTU Sampit in Central Kalimantan, were delisted from the government?s 10,000 MW Electricity Crash Program II as the government has decided to develop them with funds from the state budget.
In order to accelerate the electricity supply across Indonesia, which has seen a chronic shortage all along, the Indonesian government has offered the development of power plants to the private sector under the two Electricity Crash Programs. (bernard)
