Two firms recommended to get tax allowance

A government verification committee has recommended two companies developing domestic smelter projects to tax allowance facility, Bisnis Indonesia reported Thursday.
The paper quoted Head of Industry Research and Development Agency at the Ministry of Industry Harris Munandar as saying that PT Well Harvest Winning Alumina Refinery, and PT Feni Haltim, which had proposed for tax holiday, has instead been recommended to get tax allowance from the ministry of finance.
Harris said that if approved by the ministry of finance, the two firms could potentially get a 5 percent tax reduction per year
He added the committee is studying a similar request made by PT Sulawesi Mining Investment.(*)
