Two major investors vie for PLTP Pasaman

Bakrie and Chevron are included in the list of participants of a tender for the development of 200 MW PLTP Pasaman geothermal power plant in West Sumatra, according to state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN).

Dwi Hartoto of Tender Committee for Geothermal Projects told petromindo.com that the tender winner is expected to be announced after the Idul Fitri holidays.

Geothermal reserves in the whole province is estimated to reach 1,656 megawatt, spreading across 17 locations in seven regencies including Pasaman, West Pasaman, Limapuluh Kota, Tanahdatar, Agam, Solok and South Solok.
