Two miners still trapped at Arutmin?s underground mine

Two miners are still trapped at PT.Arutmin Indonesia?s underground coalmine in Satui, South Kalimantan following an accident Wednesday night, a company official said Friday.

?We?re doing all out effort to pull them out,? Sonny Pangestu, senior official of the South Kalimantan coal miner. It?s not immediately clear whether the workers are still alive.

Banjarmasin Post daily reported the miners are workers of Arutmin?s underground mining contractors.

The daily said the accident happened when the tunnel that leads to underground mine collapsed.

Arutmin, which plans to produce 18 million tones of coal this year, is a unit of JSX-listed coal mining house PT. Bumi Resources.(godang)
