Two oil tankers operated by PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) have departed the Middle East conflict zone, while two others remain in the Arabian Gulf awaiting safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, the company said on Tuesday.

The vessels that have left the area are the PIS Rinjani and PIS Paragon, according to a statement from Vega Pita.

Two other ships, the VLCC Pertamina Pride and Gamsunoro, are still operating in the Arabian Gulf and are waiting for security conditions to improve before exiting the area via the Strait of Hormuz. Both vessels are reported to be in safe condition.

The Gamsunoro is carrying cargo for a third-party customer, while the VLCC Pertamina Pride is transporting light crude oil intended for Indonesia’s domestic energy supply.

PIS is a shipping sub-holding of state oil, gas company PT Pertamina (Persero).

Despite the tensions in the Middle East, energy supply and distribution remain stable, supported by around 345 vessels managed across entities within Pertamina.

The company added that it continues to monitor its fleet, crews and workers around the clock through real time tracking while maintaining close coordination with maritime authorities and relevant agencies to ensure the safety of vessels and cargo.
