Two cargoes up LNG from Eni-operated Jangkrik gas field may be offered on spot market this year.

Petromindo sources said that the two cargoes will be sold on spot market mainly due to earlier than planned production start of Jangkrik field. ?If production is going smoothly, there may be chance to offer third cargo on the spot market this year,? one source said.

Earlier, SKK Migas Head of LNG Marketing Division Arwan said that BP will buy the first cargo, which is scheduled to be shipped on June 20 to undisclosed destination.

Eni started production from Jangkrik in May 2017 ahead of schedule.

State oil, gas company PT Pertamina and Eni offtake all of Jangkrik?s LNG volume under long-term contracts.

Eni is the operator with a 55 percent stake of the Muara Bakau PSC, where Jangkrik field is located. The other partners are ENGIE E&P with 33.334 percent and PT. Saka Energi Muara Bakau with 11.666 percent.
