Two generators of West Java?s Suralaya coal-fired power plant will undergo routine maintenance next month, an official of state power company PT Indonesia Power told Petromindo.Com Thursday.

?Indonesia Power will service the generators in the middle of next month. It will be a routine work,? said Indonesia Power?s production director Bambang Isti Eddy. He did not say when the maintenance work would be completed.

The generators will be from the plant?s unit V and unit VI, each having capacity to turn out 600 megawatts (MW) of electricity.

The Suralaya plant operates seven generators with generators I to IV having capacity to produce 400 MW of electricity each, while the seventh generator has capacity to turn out 600 MW of electricity.

Indonesia Power said earlier that it had planned to recondition generators I to IV in 2005 and 2006 because they had been operating for more than 15 years. (godang)
