Two WMO new wells start flowing oil and gas

Two new production wells of West Madura Offshore block, operated by PT Pertamina Hulu Energi WMO in offshore East Java have begun flowing oil and gas, said Deputy for Operation of upstream authority BPMIGAS Rudi Rubiandini.
The wells are PHE KE38A21, which produces oil of 2,400 bopd and 5 mmscfd of gas and PHE KE30A6 which was recorded to produce 2,500 bopd and 0.6 mmscfd of gas.
Total production of the WMO today reached 15,542 bopd and 148.4 mmscfd, representing an increase of around 5,000 bopd and 7 mmscfd from end January 2012, Rudi told Petromindo.com.
He said one new well, PHE KE30A8 will soon be opened and three more wells will be stimulated.
The COSL rig is currently drilling the PHE KE38A16 well, while Harvey Ward rig will be transferred tomorrow to drill exploration wells ? PHE KE38-2, PHE KE38-3 and PHE KE38-3.
Earlier, PHE WMO said it plans to spend up to Rp 6.04 trillion (about US$671 million) in capital expenditure in order to meet production target of about 23,000 barrels per day and 167 mmscfd this year.
This year, the company will drill 12 development wells, 9 exploration wells and 14 reworking wells.
In 2011, production of PHE WMO reached a total of 13,000 barrels per day and 150 mmscfd of gas.
