The London-based PT Capital Asia Technology has expressed interest to develop a brown coal mine in Rejang Lebong Regency, in Bengkulu, Investor Daily reported Friday.

“We have carried out a survey and are ready to make investment if there is a bank guarantor,” Liza Listy, an executive of the company said in Bengkulu.

She said that the result of the survey showed that Rejang Lebong has great amount of brown coal but “we need to procure heavy equipment from the United Kingdom to develop the brown coal mine in the regency.”

“Rejang Lebong regent has approached BNI as the bank guarantor, but we don’t know whether the bank receives the offer,” she said. (*)
