UK firm to apply for Sumatra copper and gold CoW

UK firm Sumatra Copper& Gold Limited will apply for contract of work (CoW) for copper and gold properties in South Sumatra and Bengkulu, a government official said.
Director of Coal and Mineral Enterprises at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Mangantar Marpaung told Petromindo.Com that the company will put together several local mining concessions it and its local partner had obtained into a CoW.
According to the company?s website, it and unnamed Indonesian partners had obtained rights to more than 10,000 square kilometers of prospective ground on the island of Sumatra.
The three most advanced gold-silver projects -- Lebong Tandai, Lebong Donok and Rawas ? are all located in central Sumatra, the company said in its website.(alex)
