Head of the workers union at state-owned electricity company PT.Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), Ahmad Daryoko has filed a judicial review of Law No 30/2009 on electricity, Kontan reported on Thursday.
Ahmad argued that the law is dominated by foreign interests and can potentially lead to the liberalization of electricity tariff, which would undermine the interest of the people.
He said that chapter 10, verse 2, of the law can lead to the implementation of so-called unbundling system in the provision of electricity for the general public in the country, allowing private investors to enter and eroding the role of the state. (*)
