United Tractor's subsidiary increases coal sales in December

South Kalimantan-based coal miner PT Dasa Eka Jasatama (DEJ), a unit of publicly-listed heavy equipment distributor PT United Tractors (UT), increased coal sales by 16.3 percent to 399,000 tons in December 2007 from 343,000 tons in the previous month.
DEJ?s cumulative sales throughout 2007 totaled 3.56 million tons, UT said in a statement on Monday.
DEJ's coal product is sold to Noble Group and Glencore AG through UT's coal British Virgin Island-based trading arm Scenic Worldwide Ltd. under term contracts. (denny)
