United Tractors 10 months heavy equipment sales surge 51.9%

Heavy equipment distributor and coal mining contracting firm PT United Tractors Tbk recorded heavy equipment sales of 7,097 units in the first ten months to October this year, grew 51.9 percent from same period last year of 4,671 units.

4,807 units were sold to mining sector in the period, representing 67.7 percent of total heavy equipment sales during the period. In the same period last year the company sold 2,843 units to the sector.

Sales to other sector include forestry sector amounting to 450 units, followed by construction at 592 units and agro business 1,148 units.

In the month of October alone the company sold 701 units compared to 557 units in the same month of the last year.

Coal production of PT Pamapersada Nusantara, a mining contracting firm of PT United Tractors, reached 71.7 million tons in the first ten months to October from 64 million tons in the same period last year, while its overburden removal reached 661.8 million BCM.

Meanwhile, the coal sales volume of PT Prima Multi Mineral and PT Tuah Turangga Agung, subsidiaries of United Tractors, reached 3.53 million tonnes in the first ten months compared to 2.28 million tonnes in the same period last year. In October alone, Prima Multi Mineral sold 260,000 tons of coal, while Tuah Turangga sold 61,000 tons of coal. (roffie/romel)
