United Tractors unit's coal sales rise in May

South Kalimantan coal mining PT Dasa Eka Jasatama (DEJ), a unit of Jakarta-listed heavy equipment distibutor and coal miner PT United Tractors (UT), sold coal sales in May increased to 428,000 tons of coal , from 300,000 tons in the same month of last year.

Compared to the previous month, DEJ's coal sales also increased from 270,000 tons, UT said in a statement on Tuesday.

DEJ's cumulative sales this year totaled 1.72 million tons as of May.

DEJ's coal product is sold to Noble Group and Glencore AG through UT's coal British Virgin Island-based trading arm Scenic Worldwide Ltd. under term contracts. (denny)
