Unitization of Tiung Biru-Jambaran fields agreed

PT Pertamina EP, a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, has reached an agreement with Mobil Cepu Ltd (MCL) over the unitization of oil and gas reserves at the Tiung Biru and Jambaran fields in the Cepu block, in Central Java.

The two companies signed the agreement on September 24. ?We have reached agreement last week (September 24) on the unitization of the Tiung Biru-Jambaran fields,? President Director of Pertamina EP Syamsu Alam told Petromindo.com Tuesday. He did not elaborate.

Tiung Biru field is located within Pertamina EP?s Cepu operations area which is adjacent to the Cepu giant oil and gas block jointly operated by MCL and Pertamina. The Jambaran gas field is located within the Cepu Block, which is operated by MCL, a unit of ExxonMobil Corp.
