Unocal conducts seismic survey in seven locations

Unocal Indonesia Company has conducted a seismic survey on at least seven locations as part of the company's expansion in its oil and gas concession area in East Kalimantan, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Wednesday.

The company's communication and government relations manager, Usman Slamet said in Balikpapan on Monday that the seismic survey was carried out in several areas in Balikpapan and Kutai Kartanegara regency.

"In this exploration stage, Unocal conducted seismic test in five locations in Balikpapan and two others in Kutai Kartanegara," he said, adding that the seismic tests were part of Unocal's programs to further increase the company's oil and gas production in the province. (*)
