Unocal issues travel warning to workers

U.S. oil and gas producer Unocal Indonesia Company has advised its workers to limit their travels to Jakarta in anticipation of possible new terrorist attacks in the capital, East Kalimantan-based Kaltim Post daily reported Thursday.

Workers wishing to travel to Jakarta were required to fill in a form prepared by the company management, which then decided whether or not they could leave, Unocal?s manager for communications and government relations Satria Djaya was quoted as saying in Balikpapan Wednesday.

A powerful car bomb exploded Tuesday at a five-star hotel in Jakarta, killing at least 10 people and injuring more than 100.

Unocal operates oil and gas fields in East Kalimantan. (*)
