Unocal reports decrease in Indonesian Q2 gas, liquids production

US oil company Unocal Corp.reported on Thursday that its Indonesian second quarter 2005 net liquids and gas production dropped to 35,300 barrels per day (BPD) and 156 million standard cubic feet per day (MMCFD) or 61,300 barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOEPD) from 37,800 BPD and 164 MMCFD or 65,200 BOEPD in the previous quarter.
The company?s data showed that during the quarter, average liquids price was US$49.04 per barrel versus $44.91 per barrel in the previous quarter while average gas price was at $6.82 per MCF versus $6.05 per MCF.
Unocal, which operates several PSCs in East Kalimantan, supplies natural gas to LNG plant Badak NGL.
The company expected that third quarter net production would range between 73% and 79% of 2Q05 production as maintenance turnaround is scheduled for the West Seno Field in the third quarter. (alex)
