Unocal reports higher Indonesian liquids, gas production

US independent oil company Unocal Corp. reported Thursday its net Indonesian liquids and gas production during the third quarter of this year reached 33,900 barrels per day and 135.6 MMCFD respectively, higher than previous quarter?s production of 28,600 BPD and 121 MMCFD.

The company also reported higher average liquids and gas production of US$40.93 per barrel and $5.69 per MCF during the quarter, compared to $33.14 per barrel and $4.86 per MCF in the previous quarter.

Unocal said it had managed to ramp- up gross production at the deepwater West Seno project in Makassar Strait, where the company has 90 percent interest to 39,000 barrel-of-oil equivalent (BOE) per day at the end of the quarter; and would continue to increase significantly in the fourth quarter on continued development drilling continues and workovers

Unocal, which operates several PSCs offshore East Kalimantan, is one of Bontang LNG plant gas suppliers. (alex)
