Unocal socializes seismic surveys to E. Kalimantan fishermen

Officials of US independent oil firm Unocal Corporation were continuing to socialize its offshore seismic surveys to East Kalimantan fishermen, local daily Kaltim Post reported Thursday.

Sabaruddin said that under the program, which involved local government officials including district and village heads, they asked fishermen not to approach Unocal?s survey sites. They told locals that survey activities would not kill fish.
