Unocal stops West Seno operations for maintenance

Unocal Indonesia, a unit of US oil giant Chevron Corp. had stopped deepwater oil, gas field West Seno operations on September for routine maintenance.
Unocal Indonesia spokesperson Usman Slamet said that the maintenance would take 28 days to complete.
Prior to shutdown West Seno produced 23,000 barrels of crude per day and 110MMCFD of gas, which is piped to Bontang NGL.
West Seno, located in the Makassar Strait PSC area, is the first deepwater oil and gas project in Indonesia.The PSC is operated and 90 percent owned by Unocal Corp., which had just merged with Chevron . Indonesia's state-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina, holds the remaining interest. (alex)
