Unocal to temporarily halt West Seno production Sept

Unocal Indonesia, a unit of US independent oil, gas firm Unocal Corp. would shut down its West Seno deep water oil, gas field in Makassar Strait in September for planned maintenance, a company official said on Wednesday.
Unocal Indonesia spokesperson Usman Slamet said that the turn around would take 28 days to be completed, during which production would be completely stopped.
According to Usman, West Seno currently produced 23,000 barrels of crude per day and 110MMCFD of gas, which is piped to Bontang NGL.
West Seno, located in the Makassar Strait PSC area, is the first deepwater oil and gas project in Indonesia.The PSC is operated and 90 percent owned by Unocal. Indonesia's state-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina, holds the remaining interest. (alex)
