IDX-listed heavy equipment and mining company PT United Tractors Tbk (IDX: UNTR) said flooding and landslides that struck parts of Sumatra have not had a material impact on its business, finances, or legal standing, although operations at its Martabe gold mine remain temporarily suspended.
In a disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Wednesday, UNTR said it was responding to a request for clarification from the bourse regarding flash floods and landslides that affected several areas in North Sumatra, West Sumatra, and Aceh.
The company said it does not operate any production or operational facilities in the affected areas, except through its subsidiary PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR), which operates the Martabe gold mine in South Tapanuli, North Sumatra.
According to UNTR, PTAR’s production and operational facilities were not materially affected by the disaster. However, PTAR has suspended operations since December 6, 2025, to prioritise humanitarian assistance and emergency response efforts for communities impacted by the floods and landslides.
UNTR said operations at Martabe will fully resume once conditions become more conducive, with the company continuing to coordinate closely with relevant authorities. It added that there has been no material impact on employees or production assets.

The company said the disaster has not significantly disrupted its supply chain or logistics, including production processes, distribution channels, or the need to relocate operations.
UNTR also said that, as of the date of the disclosure, the incident has not resulted in any material financial or legal impact. Given the absence of significant damage to assets, PTAR has not filed any insurance claims related to the floods.
As part of its response, PTAR has established disaster response posts equipped with medical services and communal kitchens to assist evacuees from several affected villages, including Garoga, Hutagodang, and Batu Horing. The company said ensuring employee safety, environmental protection, and operational sustainability remains its top priority.
UNTR said there were no other material events related to the disaster that could affect the company’s business continuity or share price, and reaffirmed its commitment to complying with capital market regulations.
The Martabe mine was previously reported to have suspended operations following flash floods in late November that caused widespread damage across several provinces in Sumatra.
