UPC to develop wind power plant in Yogyakarta

Power company PT UPC Renewables Indonesia and its partner PT Binatek Energi Terbarukan (Binatek) are planning to develop a 50 MW wind power plant in Samas, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta.
E. Jonathan Sutanto, an engineer at UPC, told Petromindo.com on the sidelines of the recent Bali Clean Energy Forum 2016 that land acquisition for the project is currently in progress.
Jonathan said that the power purchase agreement (PPA) for this project was signed on May 4, 2015 with state-owned electricity firm PT PLN. ?Financial closing for Samas wind power project will be scheduled about one year after Sidrap wind power project in South Sulawesi completed construction,? he said adding, that the Sidrap wind project is currently entering the civil works and is expected to sign the financial closing in April of this year.
