Oil and gas producer Unocal Indonesia has fixed leakage on its gas terminal in East Kalimantan?s Penajam district, which sent 38 villagers to hospital, a company official told Petromindo.Com Wednesday.

?We have fixed the gas leakage, and are trying to determine the cause of the incident,? Unocal?s spokesman Suta Vijaya said.

Suta said that 36 of the 38 people hospitalized had gone home. The 38 villagers were admitted into an area hospital Monday evening after gas leaked from Unocal?s Lawe Lawe gas terminal in Penajam district.

The Unocal management, local government officials and villagers had agreed to form a team to study the impact of the gas leakage. (godang)
