Update: Ministry to replace two directors general

The government has decided to replace two seniors officials at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources: Director General of Oil and Gas Luluk Sumiarso and Director General of Mineral, Coal and Geothermal Resources Simon F. Sembiring.

A source at the ministry told Petromindo.com on Monday that Luluk would be replaced by Evita Legowo, who currently serves as the ministry's staff expert for technology and human resources and Simon will hand over his position to Bambang Setiawan, currently the secretary of the directorate general.

"The installment ceremony of the new officials will be held tomorrow (Tuesday)," the source said.

Another source confirmed the replacement of both directors general but said the ceremony to install the new directors general would be held "later this week".

The second source said Simon would retire, while Luluk would become secretary to the National Energy Council. (Godang)
