Update- Pertamina eyeing upstream assets in GoM, Australia and N. Africa

State oil and gas company PT Pertamina said it was eyeing to acquire overseas oil, gas blocks to expand its upstream portfolio.

President Director Karen Agustiawan told a parliamentary hearing on Wednesday that the company is teaming up with BP plc to acquire a deepwater block in Gulf of Mexico. The company is also cooperating with Australian firm Woodside Petroleum to acquire a block in Australia?s North West Shelf.

?Pertamina is also evaluating upstream prospects in Algeria and Libya,? she said.(godang/bernard)
