Update: PGN, Pertamina, Chevron, Conoco sign gas contracts

ConocoPhillips Grissik Ltd, an Indonesian unit of ConocoPhillips, signed an agreement to sell natural gas to PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia (CPI), a subsidiary of Chevron Corp. and PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN), said Agus Suryono, a spokesman at oil and gas upstream sector regulatory body BPMIGAS.
ConocoPhillips will provide the gas from its Grissik field in South Sumatra starting from 2010, Suryono told reporters in Jakarta.
The company signed two contracts with CPI for 1,255 trillion British thermal units of gas for 12 years and 22.81 trillion British thermal units of gas for five years, BPMIGAS said in a statement. The supply contract with PGN amounts to 22.81 trillion British thermal unit of gas for five years, it said.
Meanwhile, Pertamina EP, the upstream unit of Pertamina, sign agreement to supply 114.7 trillion British thermal unit of gas worth US$401.7 million to an NGL plant in South Sumatra owned by PT Pertamina Gas, also a subsidiary of Pertamina.
The contract is effective for 13 years starting from 2013. The supply will range between 250 MMCFD in 2013 and 80 MMCFD in 2025, Pertamina EP?s president director Salis S Aprilian said in a statement. (Godang)
