Update-S. Sumatra LPG plant to start production July

A South Sumatra LPG plant operated by a company called PT. Surya Eka Perkasa (SEP) would commence production in next month.

Kompas daily quoted General Manager Vinot Laroya as saying that the plant would have capacity to produce 50,000 tonnes of LPG per year, 70 percent of which would be sold to domestic market.

Gas for the LPG would be supplied from Lembak gas field, which is owned by state oil and gas company PT.Pertamina. According to Pertamina EP CEO Kun Kurnaely, SEP will extract LPG from gas that would be sent to South Sumatra fertilizer PT.Pupuk Sriwidjaja.

Pertamina will supply some 60MMCFd of natural gas to Pusri from Lembak. (godang)
