Upstream ops unaffected by quake: BPMIGAS

Upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS said on Thursday that oil, gas operations in the western part of Java were unaffected by 7.5 Richter scale magnitude that hit Java early Thursday.

BPMIGAS Deputy Chairman in charge of Operations Dodi Hidayat said that so far, there was no report of operation disturbance.

A BP Indonesia official contacted by Petromindo. Com also confirmed that BP-operated ONWJ oil, gas production offshore West Java was unaffected by the earthquake.

Other major producer operates in western part of Java including CNOOC, which operates SES Block, Indonesia’s biggest offshore crude producer.

State oil and gas company PT.Pertamina also operates several oil, gas fields in western part of Java. (godang)
