URGENT: Blackout hit industrial areas, blamed on Cikarang Listrindo

A marketing official of the company confirmed to Petromindo.com that the firm had suspended 70 percent of the 354 MW installed capacity of its power plant in the morning due to problems in its power plant.
?We have yet to find out the reasons of the problem. But we are fixiing it and hope to resume the full supply around 2.30 p.m.,? the official, who refused to be idenfified, said.
An industrial source in Cikarang told Petromindo that blackout hit three main industrial estates in the areas, that is Jababeka, EJIP Cikarang and MM 2001.
According to rumors circulating among companies in the three main industrial estates, a transformer at the firm?s power plant had exploded due to being overloaded. (Denny/Bodega)
